Native to South Africa, Ornithogalum candicans (syn. Galtonia candicans) is commonly known as the Cape hyacinth.
Its flower stems can reach up to one meter in height. Ornithogalum candicans is a summer growing species. Flowering time here in Central Europe can last from late June to early September.
